An initial consult entails a 1.5 hour consultation to go through your full case history, a look at current symptoms, and assess your diet/lifestyle/current supplements. I would ask you to bring any blood tests/medical tests you have done within the last six months (or this can be emailed to me prior to our consultation), along with a list/pictures of any current medications or supplements. I recommend to bring/email a food diary for 3 days prior to our appointment. That diary should consist of a list of what you are eating/drinking as well as any symptoms you may be experiencing, i.e bloating, fatigue etc.
An initial consultation is $120 for 1.5 hours and follow up consultations are $90 for one hour, and $60 for 30 minutes.
What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a unique system of health care which is based on six foundational principles; The healing power of nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae), Identify and treat the cause (Tolle Causam), Treat the whole person (Tolle Totum), First do no harm (Primum Non Nocere), Doctor as teacher (Docere) and Prevention (Preventare).
Why see a Naturopath?
People may decide to visit a Naturopath for a variety of reasons; a more holistic approach to their health, previous unsuccessful conventional treatments or a desire to gain a better understanding of their body and health. Naturopaths treat the whole body not just a particular symptom and will work to restore balance in your mental and physical health. As a Naturopath I do not diagnose, however I work with you (and anyone else who is managing your health care) to help alleviate the health issues you are facing and find reasons as to why some areas of your health are under functioning.
What areas of health do you cover?
I work with a wide variety of health conditions but my specific areas of passion are; fertility (female and male), pregnancy, breastfeeding support, reproductive care, post partum health, hormonal balancing and children's health. I also work with digestive issues, general immunity, detoxification, parasites and microflora imbalances, mood and sleep disturbances such as anxiety and depression, pain management, and skin issues.
What treatments can I expect?
Treatments are designed for each specific client as there is no one size fits all treatment plan. These plans can include dietary modifications, lifestyle adjustments, herbal formulas, bach/bush flower remedies, homeopathics, and nutritional supplementation. If a client is only interested in diet advice then that is all I will provide, however if they are interested in herbs and nutritional supplements I can supply these goods. Functional testing can be done through specialized labs which can include blood tests, urine samples, saliva tests or gene testing. However, these functional tests are not always necessary for treatment and I will only recommend them if I feel they will make a difference in my treatment plan or if my client is interested in this information. Functional testing is an excellent tool in health management however it doesn't answer all the questions, but can provide another piece to the puzzle. I am passionate about meeting each client on their health journey and making sure they are completely comfortable with their treatment and health goals.
